first taste from the debut album by Gianluca Conte, better known by his stage name Mezzafemmina, songwriter Turin.
"The Prisoners of 2000" is an excellent example of his style, with lyrics that address many issues involved in the daily reality with a poetic approach and personal.
The song is described by its author as "The story of a boy and all my generation, caged in insecurity and the triumph of non-places."
"And I think I deserve more, do not say much, but at least one place that I can belong, a place that can be called such." Mezzafemmina sings in the chorus, and the thought is first of all a physical place, it could be our country, but an Italy different ...
